The Restaurant:
Captain John's Seafood Grill is in its 9th year
of operation and has been in its current
location at the Indigo Exchange Plaza for
over 5 years now. John Venuti began the
restaurant in a hard-to-find space in the
Litchfield Plaza, which is across the street
from the present location of the restaurant.
After three years of building a successful
business, the opportunity to expand and
design a new restaurant came about for
John and then fiancée Mary Lee.
Construction for the new space began in
late 2003.
In May 2004, Captain John's moved to its
new home at the Indigo Exchange Plaza.
Captain John's Seafood Grill is in its 9th year

The Owners:
John and Mary Lee Venuti are both
originally from the Finger Lakes Region of
Upstate NY. Mary Lee spent 20 years in
New England, specifically Boston, MA. No
doubt that "home" influenced the theme of
the restaurant's interior design as well as
the menu.
